I contacted your organisation and came across Ashley at the beginning of July 2015. I was desperate to secure a mortgage given that we (wife and I) had viewed a house and put in an offer which has been accepted. However, I only came to learn after, despite being offered ‘Mortgage in Principles’ by a number of high street lenders that in fact, (given the new rules and regulations for Contractors/Freelancers) I would need to wait at least a couple of years to be considered. Through some research, I managed to find there was a quicker and efficient solution out there for Contractors/Freelancers. I contacted a number of organisations and brokers who may have been able to offer me the help I was seeing, one of which was Power Mortgages Ltd. I was impressed with Ashley from the onset but had found a number of other such companies and one in particular but the name of Contractor Financials Ltd and ultimately was looking to make a decision between the two. The fact that there was a broker fee of £499 to pay Power Mortgages for the service versus a nil charge/zero fee for Contractor Mortgages was understandably a key consideration. However, after openly discussing the situation with Ashley (something that I am extremely glad I did) I made a decision. Ashley used his influencing skills very week (I must say it takes a lot to persuade me!) but given the information Ashley provided about Power Mortgages service and that of Contractor Financials, in particular pointing me to the Contractors Forum to see for myself the poor reviews on Contractor Financials soon helped me to come a decision. And I must say what a great decision it was and one where I can that it was a £499 well spent!! Throughout the whole process, Ashley kept me updated and contacted me via the phone or by email. This was really refreshing and a change to what I am usually used to as I find I tend to the chasing most of the time. Not only did Ashley help me find a good mortgage product given my circumstances, he has ensured that the whole mortgage process and dealing with the lender has been a smooth and efficient process. As a result, the wife and I have our new house and so a big thank you to Power Mortgage Ltd but specifically to Ashley for that! Ashley has proven to be very knowledgeable, helpful and brilliant profession mortgage broker with excellent communication skills in writing and over the phone; a standard he has set right from the very start and maintained until the end of the business relationship. Based on my experience, I would happily and as matter of fact, I would go as far to say that it would be an absolute pleasure to recommended Power Mortgages Ltd to family and friends.
